I love baseball, especially the minor leagues because you feel the action in close proximity to the players.
When vacationing on leave from the US military visiting my family in North Tonawanda, I was teaching my 5-year old son, Edward, the finer points of the game – throwing, hitting and catching. When he was ready, I purchased tickets to take him to a Buffalo Bisons baseball game.
We of course had our hot dog and soda and sat down to watch the action. The first batter up came up to the plate and struck out and we all applauded. Then Edward stood up from his seat and stated – “my turn”!
It is amazing how the young mind works!—Robert P.
